Kronick Joins the Sacramento Legal Employers Diversity Collective

Kronick Moskovitz Tiedemann & Girard, a leading California full-service law firm, is pleased to announce that it has joined the Sacramento Legal Employers Diversity Collective. The initiative, spearheaded by the University of the Pacific McGeorge School of Law, involves 30 of the largest legal employers in Sacramento—a mix of local, national, and international law firms; state agencies; and public defender and district attorney offices committed to ensuring diversity, equity, and inclusion at law schools and in the legal profession.

The Sacramento Legal Employers Diversity Collective is comprised of four main components: a pathway pipeline project focused on exposing youth to a career in law; best practices for legal employers on recruiting and retaining diverse attorneys; a cross-employer mentoring program that plans to partner with local affinity bar groups to help match up mentees and mentors; and a survey initiative that will aid in retooling law school curriculum to ensure that graduates possess the equity and inclusion skills employers want to see in new hires.

Kronick’s participation in the Collective aligns with its commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusionJonathan Hsieh, a member of the Firm’s Employment Law Group, will represent Kronick in the Collective. Jonathan serves on the best practices for recruiting and retaining and the equity and inclusion survey subcommittees.

“We have been having many conversations at our firm that in order to ensure a richer candidate pool, we need to improve diversity at law schools,” Jonathan said. “We are thrilled to participate in this program and are very optimistic about its success.”
