Kronick’s client, a Federally Qualified Health Clinic (“FQHC”), settled a lawsuit with state and federal regulators concerning an alleged overpayment related to the expansion of Medicaid in 2014-15. The FQHC denies the allegations that the payments were overpayments. However, the FQHC decided to focus on patient care serving its community’s health care needs rather than litigating a costly and time-consuming False Claims Act case. Read a related article here.
