We understand that while state and federal public health authorities continue to assess the risks associated with COVID-19, we can take steps that align with their efforts to delay the spread of this outbreak. The health and well-being of those most vulnerable among us is uppermost in everyone’s minds.
We have already:
- Begun implementation of our business continuity plans;
- Equipped most of our staff to work remotely for full scale operations;
- Held more client and other meetings by audio or video conferencing;
- Restricted non-essential business travel and self-isolate after foreign travel;
- Adopted appropriate measures to respond for at-risk individuals or if any member of the firm becomes ill;
- Increased cleaning of high-touch surfaces in the firm and promoted the effective measures that public health authorities have identified to reduce risks of transmission.
We are focused on delivering our legal services throughout this period just as we have done through other periods of turmoil. We have shared our insights on the unfolding circumstances, including through client communications (see recent legal alert Governor Suspends Portions of The Brown Act’s Teleconferencing Rules), and will continue to do so.
