Kronick Proud to Support the Sacramento Food Bank

Kronick is pleased to announce that we were able to donate $12,420 to the Sacramento Food Bank. The amount donated by Kronick employees was $7,420 with a firm match of $5,000.

We are all grateful for what we have and are saddened by the pandemic’s impact on our friends and neighbors. We have all seen the incredibly long lines at the food banks throughout our nation on the news as our economy is shut down and government agencies struggle to get assistance out to people due to overwhelming numbers, many whom have never needed it before. Families are running out of money and food at an alarming pace.

Kronick staff, attorneys and shareholders want to make a difference in our communities. With so many needs it is overwhelming to know how to help. As a firm, we researched community needs and consulted with the CEO of Sacramento Regional Community Foundation to conclude that Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services, Inc., is an efficient 501c3 nonprofit that serves our entire region through an extensive network of food bank outlets that include Yolo, Placer, Yuba and other neighboring Counties. This organization collects food and cash donations (to buy food) and distributes it out to many, many food banks that operate on a local – even neighborhood — level where it is efficiently distributed throughout our region. Frankly, it was sobering to see the number of food banks in the region and how the Sacramento Food Bank and Family Services, Inc. serves so many.
