Kronick Now Offers Alternative Dispute Resolution Services

Kronick is pleased to announce that we now offer Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services, as a cost-effective, non-litigation option for resolving conflicts. ADR processes have a number of advantages: flexibility, cost-efficiency, time-efficiency, and it gives the parties involved more control over the process and the results. Parties who utilize the ADR process to resolve their disputes avoid lengthy and costly public legal proceedings by choosing instead to creatively and collaboratively settle disputes privately, outside of the courtroom. Whether our clients are involved in a two-party dispute or a large multi-party case, ADR can provide increased control and input while moving all parties toward resolution.

Senior Counsel Bret R. Rossi, an AV Preeminent rated attorney with more than 38 years of experience in a variety of areas, including ADR which encompasses mediation, arbitration, and pre-trial settlements, will lead this new endeavor. Bret served for a number of years as a pro tem settlement conference judge, working diligently to help resolve more than 90 percent of the cases he was assigned.  While a litigator, more than 97 percent of his cases were successfully resolved without resorting to trial. When trial was required and a judgment obtained, Bret also had the expertise to locate assets and recover funds for his clients.

Bret looks forward to shifting his practice focus to ADR. He was recently the 2022 recipient of the United States District Court, Eastern District of California’s esteemed Joe Ramsey Award for Excellence in Pro Bono Service. Bret is recognized for his outstanding service to the court as a longstanding member of its Voluntary Dispute Resolution Program (VDRP).

Managing Shareholder Eric Robinson said “Kronick looks forward to expanding its services and Bret is the right person to lead the effort. We are fortunate that he wants to embark on this endeavor as he transitions his focus from litigation to ADR.”
