KMTG 7th Annual Health Fair Promotes a Healthy Mind, Body and Soul

At KMTG, the health and wellness of its employees has always been a top priority. On May 22nd, KMTG celebrated the seventh year of their internal health and wellness program with their annual health fair, which included on-site vendors and a variety of activities throughout the afternoon to educate employees on the benefits of health and wellness.

Blood pressure, cholesterol screening and body-fat testing, courtesy of Sutter Health, encouraged employees to eat right and lower stress in their lives, while sun damage screenings, courtesy of Kaiser Permanente, educated employees on what preventative measures can be taken while out in the sun. Representatives from Guardian, Prudential and Athens Benefits were onsite to provide information and answer questions on health and dental plans. Catering from the Sacramento Natural Foods Co-op provided employees with healthy, tasty lunch choices. Many tried tofu for the first time and were delighted to find the meat-alternative flavorful and delicious. For those that were stressed out and in need of a break, therapists from Mellow Me Out Massage and Balanced Touch Massage were on site providing free shoulder and neck massages to employees.

“This is such a great day to promote overall health and wellness amongst our staff,” said a happy KMTG employee. “I also appreciate that KMTG offers its employees opportunities for healthier lifestyles year round with monthly personal trainer appointments and an onsite gym membership.”
