California Enacts Landmark Legislation Requiring Sustainable Groundwater Management

Scott Morris, a shareholder who practices water and environmental law in Kronick’s Natural Resources practice group, has published a feature article in the January 2015 edition of the California Real Property Law Reporter that provides an overview of California groundwater law and the new Sustainable Groundwater Management Act – a truly momentous development in California water law.  The article provides insights into the Act’s future implementation and possible legal and technical issues that may arise moving forward.  This article adds to an ongoing series of publications and speaking engagements developed by the firm’s water lawyers to serve as a vital resource to educate and involve groundwater users throughout the state in the application of the new law.
