Lauren E. Barker, Associate

Lauren, an associate attorney, represents the firm’s health care and business clients across a broad range of matters. She has experience advising numerous Federally Qualified Health Centers on matters involving merger, acquisition, and dissolution, regulatory oversight, settlement negotiation, as well as employment issues including workplace investigations, employment agreements, policy development, and employee training. Lauren has advised clients on federal regulatory compliance with HIPAA, the Anti-Kickback Statute, Stark laws, and HHS and sister agency regulations.

Legal Experience

Lauren advises business clients both large and small on issues ranging from responding to inquiries from the Department of Fair Employment and Housing to real property disputes.

Prior to joining Kronick, Lauren worked with Content Creators Coalition, a national artist advocacy group, advising on intellectual property and labor law issues including copyright enforcement, royalty negotiation, policy development, and outreach.

Lauren received her J.D. from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. While in law school, she completed an externship in the legal department of Service Employees International Union, Local 721. Lauren also competed in the California Bar Association’s Environmental Law Section (now the Environmental Law Section of the California Lawyers Association) Student Environmental Negotiations Competition and volunteered with the Disability Rights Legal Center in Los Angeles.
