California Mandates Groundwater Regulation Through Local “Sustainability Plans” Starting in 2020

For landowners, cities, counties and public water suppliers–the key to successfully navigating California’s new law regulating groundwater is early participation in the formation of Groundwater Sustainability Agencies and their preparation of Groundwater Sustainability Plans.  Strategies for responding to the new Sustainable Groundwater Management Act’s requirements are detailed in a new California Real Property Journal article authored by Eric Robinson, who specializes in groundwater law and manages the Water & Natural Resources Practice Group at Kronick.
